Man, I used to be into wrestling from the late 70's to the late 80's. I grew up in the St. Louis area and always watched Wrestling at The Chase on Sunday mornings that was host at Chase Plaza. I went a few times with my family to the Kiel Auditorium and watched the greats, such as Rick Flair and Harley Race beat the hell out of each other. lol

I can forgive not quoting an entire one line.

Ric flair nature boy woooooo
I remember Nature Boy Ric Flair. Wooooo.
Stone Cold Steve Austin for the win.
A little later it was maybe Triple-H, Mick Foley/Mankind, the
Undertaker, and of course The Rock.
To this day I still don't fully understand why I actually liked that stuff... LOL
... Gone crazy, be back later, please leave message.Because we were younger, easily impressionable, and we only had 8 channels to watch. How are you Gamgee?

King Jerry Lawler, Austin Idol, Bill Dundee, Dutch Mantell and, of
course, Jimmy Hart! :D

I was a pre-teen, and it came on every Saturday right after cartoons ended.
Guessing those factors had something to do with it. :D

I also remember some guy called the sheik and Wahoo McDaniels. Are
those names right? I remember watching matches on Saturday evenings
with my grandparents some times in the 70s.
I grew up on UHF TV - I'd love a campy cable channel comparable to the cheezy b-movies, "pro" wrestling and live roller derby broadcasts.
UHF, by budget and transmission constraints, had a local quality you don't get any more.

Undertaker, and of course The Rock.

I think those guys may have been a bit earlier/older than those
previously mentioned. I only know of King Jerry Lawler as a ringside announcer, not as a wrestler.

I was more of a Rowdy Roddy Piper and Jesse "The Body" Ventura era
fan. see my earlier post.
Jimmy Hart was a loud-mouthed ringside wrestling manager. Jimmy

I remember watching some UHF content long ago. Also, I'm reminded of
the movie "UHF" with Weird Al Yankovic - A good movie about UHF TV content.

I remember seeing some roller derby on tv. The girls on wheel my Grandfather called them. My grandmother would change the channel to lawrence welk because she thought the girls outfits were scandalous.
LOL.

Some UHF geeks tracked down the movie filming locations, including the Spatula City building. Unfortunately, it's no longer in business - I have a filled out Spatula Card and waited to long to get my free spatula!

Was Spatula City a real store? Or was there a store there they just re-dressed with a Spatula City sign?
